My Vesica turned bright yellow/orange/green! Is there a way to fix this?

It is actually completely normal for the TPU in your Vecto to become discolored, even after just 24 hours.  Our TPU is soft, lightweight, porous and BPA-free. We never use BPA (part of the polymer that keeps plastics completely clear - but can also cause cancer) in our products.  Thus, every BPA-free plastic is sensitive to discoloring, and especially our Vectos: the combination of UV exposure plus high tannins and mineral content in water sources can lead to discoloration. This  does not affect your Vecto's function, safety or performance.

Does the Vesica keep its shape when less than completely full?

The Vesica is made of soft, flexible and slighter thicker (more rigid) TPU than our Vecto Water Container. These collapsible bottles stand up on their own and will also stay upright when only partially filled with liquid.

Is the Vesica dishwasher safe?

No, we do not recommend putting any of our products in the dishwasher. The high temperatures in a dishwasher may compromise or degrade the radio-frequency bonded welds and cause leaks. Using a dishwasher to clean any of our welded TPU product(s) will void coverage under our Warranty.

Please hand wash your Vesica and other TPU products with warm, soapy water and let air dry between uses.

Can I put boiling water, coffee, tea in my Vesica?

The Vesica has an operational temperature range of 20°F (-6°C) to 140°F (60°C).  Boiling water is 212°F and is not recommended for use inside your Vesica and this can compromise or degrade the radio-frequency bonded welds and cause leaks.

How do you clean my Vesica?

You can clean your Vesica with mild, biodegradable soap and warm water, using a scrub brush on the inside if needed. Let hang (air) dry completely between uses. It's best to do this regularly between hiking seasons and long trips.

Can you freeze the Vesica?

The Vesica has an optimal operational temperature down to 20°F (-6°C). It can be frozen for sanitizing purposes - see Vecto FAQ (I just got the Vecto; should I clean it? How?)
