How do I store my ThruBottle?

Between trips and seasons, make sure your ThruBottle is stored clean, dry, and out of sunlight. We recommend storing it open to keep any moisture out.

How do I clean my ThruBottle?

Give it a quick wash with mild, biodegradable soap and warm water, using a bottle brush on the inside if needed, and let air dry completely between uses. For a deeper clean, you can use denture tablets or a few drops of bleach for disinfection.

Can I put my ThruBottle in the dishwasher?

We're working on materials testing to determine if the ThruBottle can handle the dishwasher, but we're optimistic it is dishwasher safe (with the cap removed and top rack only). For the meantime, we'd recommend handwashing until we've confirmed.

Can I put hot water in my ThruBottle?

You can put water up to 80°C in the ThruBottle for short periods of time.

What is the ThruBottle made of?

The ThruBottle is made from HDPE that is BPA, BPS, BPF and phthalate free.

Is it okay to use chlorine or Aquamira™ drops or tablets in my ThruBottle?

Yes! It is perfectly safe to use chlorine, iodine, Aquamira™ or other "backup" backcountry water treatments in the ThruBottle.

Where is the ThruBottle made?

The ThruBottle is made in the USA from domestic and Chinese parts.

Does my ThruBottle come with a warranty?
